The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with planned production of up to 8 million tonnes of per annum. With approvals in place out to 2046, the mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our growing Team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Planner will primarily be responsible for planning and forecasting maintenance schedules and statutory compliance across departments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Maintaining the PULSE Maintenance Management System and confirming statutory requirements are scheduled in PULSE
- Documenting maintenance plans for new and existing equipment
- Managing the systems for capturing equipment and costing history
- Providing quality control functions for changes to the maintenance systems and protocols
- Maintaining compliance and performance reports of the maintenance systems
- Driving standardization of documents and systems
- Assisting in streamlining logistic processes that support the maintenance function
- Managing the interface of Contractors equipment with Mine maintenance systems
- Daily check of accuracy of input by Control Room Operators of the 24hr production delay reports
- Producing and distributing of all maintenance statistical reports
- Providing introduction packages to new equipment/vehicles on site and maintain accurate approval documents.
- Creating new schedules, standard jobs and documentation to comply with organisational, statutory and departmental requirements as directed.
- Maintaining the QDS scheduling and documentation
- Reporting/monitoring completion rates/discrepancies/non-compliance of mine equipment & vehicles.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, the applicant will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience in a similar position
- Sound knowledge of mining processes, including practical knowledge of mining equipment
- Thorough understanding of the work health and safety legislation in the coal industry
- Strong report writing skills
- Sound planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
